Enprotech is a consultant for turnkey installations of water, sludge, air and waste water treatment technologies, and they commissioned ProGen to provide a turnkey MEP package on a large anaerobic digestion plant at a food processing site in Norfolk.

The Challenge

As a part of this brief, ProGen was commissioned to provide full electrical and mechanical services, which included automation and pipework.

As this was such an in-depth project, we had to work as efficiently as possible to ensure we completed the work on time and to the highest possible standard.

The solution

Thanks to the extensive experience of ProGen’s project management and site teams, full design along with interface with suppliers and specialist sub-contractors was managed, coordinated & executed successfully by ProGen.

Key deliverables of equipment supply was an ever-challenging demand to the contract and programming of activities due to the very tight constraints of the site and available working areas.

The full extent of ProGen’s design and installation responsibility included:

• Co-ordination and design

ProGen provided full design of the MEP systems. With our in-house design team, we avoided any clashes from other services existing on-site. A full 3D design of the installation was produced, which allowed for accurate manufacture of pipe spools and bracketry throughout.

• Piping Infrastructure

ProGen provided the full piping infrastructure for the works, which included pipe bracketry and gantries, all manufactured within ProGen’s fabrication workshop and erected on-site.

The pumps and valves where all designed and erected by ProGen mechanical team.

• LV Distribution

All LV cabling and containment was also provided within ProGen’s package, along with the installation of a new LV switchgear and commissioning.

• Lighting

ProGen provided full cabling and installation of the lighting package throughout the plant.

The Outcome

The project was successfully delivered on time and on budget.
